In 2017 Ranka began to discover a calling in her “little tattoo hobby”, while travelling in Australia. Until the 2020 pandemic, this hobby helped fund her further travels. On one of the last emergency flights from Peru she returned to Germany and back to reality. After a period of adjusting to self-employment and a lengthy search for a space, the „Vogelhüttendeich“ became her new home. That’s how Plant Base came to life in 2023. Starting out as a duo, a large, colorful collective has emerged over the years.

Ranka loves tattooing clean lines and soft shading, and her designs are characterized by clear contrasts. She particularly enjoys tattooing animals and plants, but is always open to your ideas, ranging from minimalist over abstract to geometric designs. The most important thing is, that you’re happy with your tattoo in the end.
